screes and arid areas
July - September
Mountain, Subalpine, Alpine

The large-flowered houseleek is endemic to a small sector in the Italian Alps, where it is however quite common. It distinguishes itself from the other houseleeks of the region with its flowers, that are yellow instead of pink. Another of its characteristics is its hairy leaves at the base of which are glands that give off a resinous odor and make the houseleek sticky.
