<p><span style="font-size: 14.6667px;"><b>Stalkless silene, Scapeless Moss Campion (Silene exscapa)</b></span></p><p><span style="font-size: 11pt; background-color: initial;">Its numerous small stems, which are branched out and densely-covered in leaves, form a sort of cushion or pulvinus on the ground; like moss, the plant is able to absorb large quantities of water and retain any air not moved by the wind, thus reducing transpiration.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 14.6667px;"><b>The phenology of the sward at high altitude in the Lauson Valley (Cogne Valley)</b></span></p><p>The temporal variations of the greening and senescence of the grassy sward at high altitude also have significant effects on wildlife, in particular on ungulates (chamois and Alpine ibex). For this reason, automatic stations are being installed in the park to record these variations in cooperation with "ARPA Valle d'Aosta" (climate change unit).&nbsp;<br></p>
