In Italy, this species is only found in the Aosta Valley region, where there are only three known sites with small populations in terms of number of individual plants. It is therefore considered a threatened species in the National Red Book and in the regional Red List for endangered plants. It has erect stems covered in fine hairs and the basal leaves are imparipinnate and consist in 5-7 segments that are deeply dentate at the margin. The flowers, which are united in a corymb-shaped inflorescence, have a yellow corolla.
