This species is an Alpine endemic, i.e. it grows exclusively in the Alps. In particular, it is endemic only to the Western Alps. It lives in montane calcareous screes. It is easy to recognise for the curved peduncle, hence its name. The inflorescence consists of 3 to 8 pink flowers with 6 tepals, grouped in umbels facing the ground. It is currently not known in the Park's territory.
