The Valais catchfly, endemic to the Occidental Alps where it is rather common, is quite unique. Its petals are pale pink in the inside and reddish on the outside and have the particularity to sometimes wind around themselves. The calyx is red-veined, elongated and swollen. Finally, the entire plant is slimy to the touch. Impossible to identify it wrong.
